Nordic Neuroscience, where cutting-edge research meets centuries-old curiosity about the workings of the brain. This region, the north of Europe, boasts a rich tradition of scientific inquiry, innovation, and collaboration in the area of neuroscience.
In 2023, the Neuroscience oriented societies in Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden formally assembled a joint collaborative council under the umbrella name “Nordic Neuroscience”. This name had already been used for joint meetings and serves the purpose well. The Nordic Neuroscience Council is composed of the
Presidents of the national societies.
Nordic Neuroscience meetings has so far taken place in Trondheim (2015), Stockholm (2017), Helsinki (2019) and Copenhagen (2024).
The next FENS regional meeting (FRM) will take place in Oslo in June 2025 hosted by the Norwegian Neuroscience Society in collaboration between all Nordic neuroscience societies.
